Trial, Return & Exchange (Questions: 8)

  • Q.1) Why do mattress manufacture’s offer free trial period for online purchase of mattresses?
  • Whether you purchase a mattress in a store or online, you make a long-term decision that could impact your sleep health. While buying a mattress in a store after lying on a few mattresses, listening to sales pitches, and getting great deals, you ignore how you and your partner's body will react to the mattress. Any new mattress has a break-in period (adjustment period), and your body needs time to adjust to a better feel. Lying on a mattress for a short time in a store setting does not provide insight. Buying a mattress online further compounds the fact that you never got to touch or feel the mattress before you purchase. That's why mattress manufacturers offer extended trial periods to try the mattress in a comfortable home setting without any pressure and then make the call whether to retain or return.

  • Q.2) What is the duration of Eightsleep’s risk-free trial period?
  • Eightsleep trial period is 30 Nights for Accessories, The Pod Pro Cover, and The Pod Pro Cover Perfect Fit and 100 Nights for the entire system of the Pod, Pod Pro, and Pod Pro Max.

  • Q.3) What is the minimum period you need to try Eightsleep mattress before initiating a return?
  • There is no minimum period to test your Eightsleep mattress; you can start the return any time before 100 days trial period.

  • Q.4) Do I need to keep any of the packaging or boxes?
  • You can dispose of or recycle the packaging or boxes after setting up the mattress.

  • Q.5) Do I need to make my own arrangements for shipping product back to Eightsleep?
  • Eightsleep will help you make the necessary arrangements to donate the mattress to a local donation center.

  • Q.6) What happens to returned or exchanged products?
  • No re-use or offer refurbished beds and does not take back the bed. Instead, the Eightsleep team will work with you to donate or dispose of the mattress. Eightsleep will contact alternative options for donation or disposal, if necessary.

  • Q.7) When can I expect a refund for my return?
  • Once Eightsleep has authorized your return, you will receive the full refund of your return within 7-10 business days.

  • Q.8) Can I exchange a Eightsleep mattress?
  • You have up to the trial deadline, from the delivery date, to send Eightsleep an email at support@eightsleep.com with an exchange request.

    Accessories: If an opened/used addition is exchanged from an initial order, you will be eligible for an additional 14-night trial on one subsequent product order. However, if your Product is returned completely unopened, the 30-night-trial will be available on your next accessory purchase.

    The Pod Series: If an opened/used Pod is exchanged from an initial order; you will only be eligible for an additional 30-night trial on one subsequent Pod order. However, if your Product is returned completely unopened, the 100-night-trial will be available on your next bed purchase.

    The Legacy product line: If an opened/used Sleep Tracker/Smart Bed is exchanged from an initial order, you will only be eligible for an additional 30-night trial on one subsequent Pod order. However, if your Product is returned completely unopened, the 100-night-trial will be available on your next bed purchase.

  • Q.1) Does Eightsleep offers warranty for mattresses?
  • The Pod Series: 2-year warranty on the technology layer, ten-year warranty on the foam mattress.

    The Sleep Tracker/Smart Bed Series: 1-year warranty on the technology layer, ten-year warranty on the foam mattress

  • Q.2) What does Eightsleep’s warranty covers in terms of defects?
  • The Limited Warranty includes the following instances during normal use:

    • Deterioration of the foam results in a visible indentation greater than one (1) inch that is not related to an indentation or sag due to incorrect foundation or base.
    • Normal wear requires that a purchaser’s Product be continuously supported by a matching, solid foundation, base, or frame substantial enough to support the Product and occupant(s).
    • Any structural deformity while creating the product causes permanent damage to the memory foam despite proper setup and normal use.
    • Any defect in the craftsmanship of the cover, including seams and zipper assembly
  • Q.3) What defects are not covered under Eightsleep’s warranty?
  • The Limited Warranty is without:

    • A normal increase in softness of the memory foam is normal and does not affect the pressure-relieving quality of the Product. 
    • Comfort preference.
    • Physical abuse or damage to the structure and/or cover material, including but not limited to burns, cuts, tears, liquid damage & stains, or soiling.
    • Damage from using an improper bed frame, foundation, platform bed, or adjustable base.
    • Replacement(s) of another piece in the Eightsleep system, unless another piece(s) is also defective—Product sold by unauthorized traders, retailers. Product sold "as-is," "preconditioned," "reconditioned," "used," "comfort return," "returned," "previously owned," or any other similar wording indicating that the Product is not "new" or of "first quality," or has previously been purchased or used by another consumer.
  • Q.4) What is the remedy if a defect is found?
  • If any defect is found, At its option, Eight may repair or replace the cover provided on the Product. Suppose Eight replaces the white mattress encasement wrapping the mattress's foam (the "Mattress Cover"). In that case, Brand will replace it with the current style of cover available for the Product, which may be of dissimilar color, design, or material than the original cover provided.
