Trial, Return & Exchange (Questions: 8)

  • Q.1) Why do mattress manufacture’s offer free trial period for online purchase of mattresses?
  • Whether you purchase a mattress in a store or online, you make a long-term decision that could impact your sleep health. While buying a mattress in a store after lying on a few mattresses, listening to sales pitches, and getting great deals, you ignore how you and your partner's body will react to the mattress. Any new mattress has a break-in period (adjustment period), and your body needs time to adjust to a better feel. Lying on a mattress for a short time in a store setting does not provide insight. Buying a mattress online further compounds the fact that you never got to touch or feel the mattress before you purchase. That's why mattress manufacturers offer an extended trial period to try the mattress in a comfortable home setting without any pressure and then make the call whether to retain or return.

  • Q.2) What is the duration of Ghostbed’s risk-free trial period?
  • Ghostbed offers a 101-night sleep trial. The trial applies to all Ghostbed mattresses, and you’ll get 3+ months to decide if you want to keep or return the mattress. Your 101-night mattress sleep trial begins automatically once your mattress ships.

  • Q.3) What is the minimum period you need to try Ghostbed mattress before initiating a return?
  • Ghostbed asks you to give your Ghostbed a minimum 30-day try before initiating a return. Many people find it takes at least two weeks to get used to a new mattress, especially when switching from a traditional innerspring to a foam mattress. Plus, your mattress may need a little time to "break in" and feel right to you. After Ghostbed has been in your home for at least 30 days, you can start the quick and easy return process.

  • Q.4) Do I need to keep any of the packaging or boxes?
  • No, once your mattress is out of the box, it can't fit back in, so it's no requirement to hang on to your packaging materials.

  • Q.5) Do I need to make my own arrangements for shipping product back to Ghostbed?
  • There is no need for you to roll the mattress and repack it for shipping. A team from Ghostbed will visit your house to pick up the mattress.

  • Q.6) What happens to returned or exchanged products?
  • Ghostbed never resells the returned or exchanged mattresses. Your returned Ghostbed mattress will be donated to a nearby charity or recycled, depending on your location.

  • Q.7) When can I expect a refund for my return?
  • Once Ghostbed starts your return, processing your recovery may take up to 3 business days.

  • Q.8) Can I exchange a Ghostbed mattress?
  • Yes, you can exchange your current Ghostbed mattress for a different model. To start your Ghostbed mattress exchange, you need to contact the hotbed team by filling up this contact form. The Ghostbed team will contact you and help you with the exchange process.

Warranty (Questions: 4)

  • Q.1) Does Ghostbed offers warranty for mattresses?
  • Ghostbed offers a 20-25 year warranty on its mattress; you should be able to provide them with a document of purchase from the official Ghostbed website or an authorized retailer.

  • Q.2) What does Ghostbed’s warranty covers in terms of defects?
  • Not this limited warranty covers:

    Any visible and lasting indentation (body impression) greater than one inch is not associated with a sag in the foundation, box springs, or platform.

    Any physical flaw in the mattress causes the latex or memory foam material to split or crack, despite normal usage and proper handling.

  • Q.3) What defects are not covered under Ghostbed’s warranty?
  • This limited warranty doesn't include:

    any average increase or decrease in the feel or any average minimize in the recovery feature of the Ghostbed material, neither of which affect the performance or pressure-relieving qualities of the mattress. Nor alterations in the cooling properties of the mattress may decrease over time with use and exposure to the environment.

    All warranties herein shall not apply if the product or cover has been physically damaged, burned, cut, torn, stained, or abnormally soiled or unsanitary.

  • Q.4) What is the remedy if a defect is found?
  • For the initial ten years of the warranty, Ghostbed will either repair or replace the mattress, not including handling and transportation. During years 11 to 20, the company can either improve the mattress for a minimum fee or replace it at a prorated charge along with the cost of transportation. The prorated amount is 50% of the purchase price in year 11, and for every following year, the prorated charge increases by 5%. Nature's Sleep covers the outer mattress cover for one year after purchase.

  • Q.1) What forms of payment Ghostbed accepts?
  • Ghostbed accepts the following payment options:

    • Apple Pay

  • Q.2) Does Ghostbed offer financing?
  • Ghostbed offers financing options with Affirm and Splitit. The application process takes place during checkout.

  • Q.3) How does Affirm work?
  • Affirm loans vary between 0% and 30% APR with simple interest. The finance charge is the only fee associated with an Affirm loan. Affirm is without late fees charges, service fees, prepayment fees, APR penalties, or other hidden fees.

  • Q.4) How does splitit work?
  • If case you're using a credit card: You will only be charged for your first payment at the time of purchase. The remaining dues will be held on your credit card until the final installment. After every monthly payment, the amount saved from the available balance will be deduced to the new remaining balance.

    If case paying with a debit card, you will only be charged for your first payment at the time of purchase. The total amount will be held on the card as a temporary hold and released within five business days. Debit cards may be limited by the number of permitted installments or purchase total.

  • Q.5) How do you apply for financing from Affirm?
  • To make your purchase through Affirm or Splitit financing, simply pay later with Affirm or split at checkout and choose your preferred payment plan.

  • Q.6) Does financing from Affirm or splitit will affect my credit scores?
  • Creating the first Affirm account, they will perform a 'soft' credit check to verify your identity and determine your eligibility for financing. This soft credit check doesn't affect your credit score.

    Paying with a Split installment plan, there is no impact on your credit score. The bank simply sees the individual installment charges each month. If single payment authorization is declined, there is still no effect on your credit rating; it is merely a lowered charge.
