Q3. Can you walk us through the Serta i-Comfort Hybrid mattresses?

Serta iComfort CF1000 Hybrid mattress

It is the basic model in the iComfort Hybrid series. The CF1000 comes with only one comfort layer and contains just one type of memory foam, Carbon Fiber Memory Foam. Serta categorizes this mattress as a Medium, and it uses the softer of Serta’s two coil units.

The feel of this bed is highly similar to that of its non-hybrid counterpart. While it does give sleepers some slow-melting memory feel, it has the least amount of that feel in the series. Apart from the carbon fiber foam, it has no other cooling features.

Serta iComfort CF2000 Hybrid mattress

Next in the line, the 12″ high CF2000 Hybrid includes the same Carbon Fiber Memory Foam on all of the new iComfort mattresses with Serta’s Gel Active Memory Foam. The gel is a conductor of heat, so it’s to add some extra cooling qualities.

The CF2000 is a Firm mattress and contains a firm spring support unit.

As the iComfort CF2000 has two foams with cooling properties, Serta gives it two “snowflakes” to indicate those features.

Serta iComfort CF3000 Hybrid Mattress

Then comes in the line the 12.5″ thick CF3000 Hybrid mattress. It contains Serta’s UltaCold System memory form in place of the Gel Active Foam. A layer of phase-change material on top of that foam offers an incredible sensation of touching. The CF3000 Hybrid mattress also gets a new cover with cooling properties. Serta is called the “Max Cold” cover, which includes fiber that gives it a coolness to the touch.

The iComfort CF3000 Hybrid mattress comes in two softness levels: Medium and Plush. With both, sleepers enjoy more cushioning than the CF1000 and CF2000 mattresses.

The CF3000 Hybrid mattress, having three cooling features (the carbon fiber memory foam, the phase change coating, and the cooling cover), receives three ‘snowflakes’ printed on the side panels.

Serta iComfort CF4000 Hybrid mattress

The top-of-the-line iComfort Hybrid mattress is the CF4000 Hybrid, available in two softness variations, Firm and Plush. These come with all of the cooling features of the CF3000 mattresses and add the Air Support Foam, with its hollowed-out cube-shaped memory foam cells. It also increases height to 13.5″ inches.

The Plush version is the softest of the iComfort Hybrid mattress, with maximum cushioning. And a lot of that slow, melting into the bed feel — the most of any of the iComfort beds.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  1. This is a good mattress for warm sleepers due to cooling technologies like Carbon Fiber memory foam.
  2. Provides a comfortable sensation with the cradling feeling of memory foam and strong support of coils.
  3. Reliable brand with a long-standing reputation for quality mattresses.

Cons

  1. Not suitable for those seeking an all-foam mattress, as it is a hybrid design.
  2. May not be suitable for shoppers on a tight budget due to higher price range.
  3. Delivery may take longer compared to some other mattress companies.

Firmness

Q1. Can you brief the Serta i-Comfort mattress collection and the sizes available?

Serta’s iComfort Hybrid line is restructured for the 2020 model year and now directly reflects its non-hybrid all-foam iComfort mattresses. The two product lines show the same model numbers, the same foams, and memory foams, and the same cooling technology. The hybrid line’s a different, the use of a pocketed-coil support unit rather than a foam support base for the regular iComfort line.

A coil base generally indicates that these hybrid models have much more bounce than the all-foam models. Sleepers also find better airflow since air can flow more freely around steel springs than in a solid chunk of foam.

Details about the layers in Serta i-Comfort Hybrid Mattress

Serta iComfort mattresses use only the best ingredients to ensure the sleeper gets the support it needs. Serta uses identical upper foam layers in both hybrid and non-hybrid versions. For example, the CF1000 and the CF1000 Hybrid use the same blend of comfort foams. Non-hybrid one has a solid foam support unit, while the hybrid contains a pocketed coil unit at the bottom.

Carbon Fiber Memory Foam

iComfort mattresses are created with Serta’s exclusive Carbon Fiber Memory Foam material, which reduces body temperature by conducting heat away from the sleeper’s body. This innovative memory foam also provides extra support for the back and neck.

UltraCold System™ – available in CF3000 and CF4000

A layer of extra-cool Carbon Fiber Memory Foam is incorporated to absorb extra heat from the sleeper’s body, then transmit it away, all while the sleeper sleep comfortably.

Air Support™ Foam- available in CF4000 variety

Sleepers having aches and pains caused by pressure points will be pleased to know that the Air Support Foam moves with the body and outlines around it. It offers healthy spinal alignment as well as comfort for all sleepers.

Gel Active® Max Foam- available in CF2000

The Gel Active Max Foam is an open-celled structure memory foam that promotes air circulation. Warm sleepers have a stuffy feeling at night; they would enjoy sleeping cool throughout the night.

1025 iComfort® Hybrid Support™ System with BestEdge® Foam Upholstery

The iComfort Hybrid collection comes with a pocketed coil support unit having 1,025 coils in a queen-size bed. Serta varies the spring strength to match the firmness levels of the mattresses. Firmer springs are used in the line’s firm mattresses, such as the CF2000 Hybrid and the CF4000 Hybrid Firm, while softer rings are used in the Serta mattress Medium and Plush versions.

There is plenty of deep bounce in all these mattresses. The top foams incline to absorb motion up near the surface, but on weight on the bed, you’ll notice the bounce. (Note, the non-hybrid iComfort models have almost zero bounce)

Repositioning

(4.00/5)

The tendency of Gel-infused foam to be more responsive, meaning switching positions during the night will be more accessible. You’ll have less chance of having a “stuck-in-the-mud” feeling. Moreover the presence of coils increases the bounce in the mattress.

Comfort, Back Support, Pressure Relief

(4.00/5)

The foam in the Serta i-comfort mattress lineup has excellent pressure-relieving qualities, an advantage for those with joint pain issues. The EverCool® Fuze Gel Memory Foam cradles and helps cool sleepers in a generous, pressure-relieving embrace. The Air Support Foam moves with the body and outlines around it. It promotes spinal alignment and delivers additional comfort for all kinds of sleepers.

This luxurious Serta I comfort mattress is quite comfortable to sleep in. In particular, Serta i-Comfort Max Cooling & Pressure Relief Upgrade (CF4000) mattress is excellent.

Cooling & Temperature Control

(4.25/5)

Serta I Comfort hybrid mattress gives excellent cooling. Crafted with materials like EverCool® Fuze Gel, Memory foam enhances the cooling of the mattress. The Max Cold™ Cover is the most heat-absorbing layer company ever created for all-night cooling. It adds style to the cool-to-the-touch textile, helping you get your best night’s sleep. Gel Active® Max Foam maintains temperature neutrality. Air Support Foam moves with the body and outlines around it. Great for spinal alignment and delivers additional comfort for all kinds of sleepers.

Motion Isolation and Sharing a Bed

(4.25/5)

A coiled mattress engrosses movements like all foam, so the sleeper on one side of the mattress is less likely to be disturbed by motions on the other. This parameter makes Serta mattresses, in general, a good choice for couples. The foams offer outstanding comfort. Depending on personal preference, any bed from the I comfort lineup can be selected.

The premium ingredients support the full body, targeting pressure points, so one wakes up feeling more refreshed. In spite of the coil base, these hybrid beds isolate motion incredibly well, making them a good choice for couples.

Edge Support

(4.00/5)

The Serta I Comfort Mattress offers good edge-to-edge support. The Serta® Foam Core provides strong support for any sleep position with consistent support from edge to edge. Around the edge of the bed on all four sides is a foam edge support intended to boost stability right along the border.

People don’t have the sensation of rolling off the border; while sleeping, they enjoy a more excellent surface. Moreover, the pocketed coil support unit having 1,025 coils gives sturdy edge support.

Recommendation based on sleeping style

Q1. How would you describe the Serta i-comfort mattress based on individual sleeping style?

  • Side Sleepers: more curves are available on our side. Shoulders. Hips. Knees. These areas create tension and pressure. Ideally, a softer mattress cradle the hips and shoulders to prevent stress and injury. Ideal are CF4000 (Plush Version), CF1000, For side sleepers, seek out mattresses softer on the firmness scale. With the iComfort line, the CF4000’s plush version consists of Air Support Foam, which moves with your body and contours around it to alleviate pressure.
  • Back Sleepers: Sleeping on the back is the best for spine health. Sleepers want a mattress that keeps weight off the joints and pressure points and cradles your spine optimally to maintain healthy alignment. Specifically, a firm mattress is great for back Firm mattresses prevent the hips and lumbar region from sinking deep and are suitable for the back. Healthy spinal alignment is vital for all types of sleepers. Medium-firm ones also work great. Ideal are CF3000, CF4000 (Firm Version)- All three of the Serta iComfort models are excellent for back sleepers. For more cushioning, but when selecting the CF4000, we advise you to pick the firm version for ultimate comfort.
  • Stomach Sleepers-Stomach sleepers are at the most significant risk of spinal problems as there is a great deal of pressure on the thoracic and lumbar spine. Ideally- a firm mattress that holds up the hips, reducing pressure on the lower back. Ideal are CF3000, CF4000- There is also the need for extra support on the neck because stomach sleepers keep their heads turned to the side. Like back sleepers, the stomach sleepers need to go with one of the more supportive Serta iComfort models, like the CF3000 or CF4000 firm.
  • Combination Sleepers- Sleepers who tend to toss and turn throughout the night change sleeping positions frequently. Depending on their weight, all Serta I comfort hybrid mattresses can be used.
