• Purple Hybrid Premier is a hybrid mattress that combines the benefits of the Purple Grid technology with the added support of individually wrapped coils. Purple Hybrid Premier offers two options in the Grid layer: 3-inch Purple Grid and 4-inch Purple Grid. The mattress consists of a top layer of Purple’s proprietary Hyper-Elastic Polymer, made from a hyper-elastic polymer material designed to adapt to the body’s shape and provide pressure relief.
• The second layer of the mattress is a layer of transition foam that provides added support and helps to distribute weight evenly. The third layer is individually wrapped coils that help reduce motion transfer and provide support. The fourth and final layer is a high-density foam base layer that serves as the mattress’s foundation. This combination provides a combination of contouring and support, making it an ideal mattress for those who need a comfortable and supportive sleeping surface.
• Purple Hybrid Premier mattress is designed to provide a medium-firm feel suitable for most sleepers. The 3-inch mattress has a medium firmness level of 6 out of 10. The 4-inch mattress is slightly softer, and the firmness level is 5 out of 10. Its Purple Grid layer and the responsive spring coils make the bed quite bouncy and supportive.
• These dense transition foam layers offer excellent cushioning, relieving the pressure points. The mattress has a soft, breathable cover that promotes airflow and keeps sleepers cool and comfortable throughout the night.

Cooling & Temperature Control

The Purple 4 are more on soft firmness scale when compared to the previous models with Purple 4 being the softest of them all. The Premier version represents a perfect blend of both sink and float, aiming to provide proper needed cradling and support to the body.  The top layer of gel is responsible for the surface bounce while the pocketed coils are responsible for the deeper bounce. The biggest difference between the Original and the Premier models is that the later uses pocketed coils rather than the memory foam, making the mattress bouncier. The Purple Premier provides decent pressure relief with the needed support and response, but may not be ideal for small sized sleepers whose main concern is this. Compared to the Original Purple, the Premier provides greater airflow and temperature regulation due to the presence of the pocketed coils that promote greater airflow when compared to the support memory foams.

Motion Isolation and Sharing a Bed

The Purple Premier Mattress provides decent motion isolation and can be decent choice for couples who don’t way to get disturbed by their partners moving in and out of the mattress. However, if your partner moves around a lot then you may a feel noises or vibrations.

Edge Support

Edge support is an important consideration for couples, as poor performance here limits both sleeping and sex to closer to the center of the bed, rather than its perimeter. Getting in and out of bed may also disturb your partner, since the bed may bend when sitting on the edge. The Purple 3 and Purple 4 provide excellent edge support. This is mainly because surrounding the perimeter of the mattress is a 3” wide dense foam side rails resulting in a very good overall edge support.

Recommendation based on sleeping style

• Side Sleepers: The Premier model is excellent for side sleepers. In fact, purple strictly recommends the Purple 4 mattress to the side sleepers due to the 4” of hyper elastic polymer structure providing the required cradling to your hips and shoulders resulting in excellent spinal alignment and pressure relief.
• Back Sleepers: People who sleep on their back tend to require more support — particularly around the hips, which may sink into softer mattresses and prevent proper spinal alignment. Back sleepers also require less pressure relief, as the position causes fewer pressure points than other sleep styles. Back Sleepers may feel comfortable and supported in the Purple 3 and 4 models, but may not be able to enjoy the full advantage or benefits of the 3”/ 4” Purple Grid polymer, which are the main USP’s of these model
• Stomach Sleepers: Stability and support is particularly important for “stomach sleepers” so as not to cause back or hip pain. The mattresses provide more than enough support on the areas under the neck and trunk for stomach sleepers. However, the Hybrid model is more suitable for such sleepers
